New funky piece for saxophone quartet
Funky Sissy is an energetic number for 4 saxophones (AATB). The rhythm of the main theme is inspired by the piece sissy strut from the meters. I wrote the piece for an online seminar about funk rhythms. The idea immediately occurred to me to record and publish it as a YouTube video in cooperation with a few colleagues. My favorite baritone player will be there Natascha Protzewho are also in my Ensemble Elementary Playing the bass clarinet and keeping the place together. Are still there Alexandra Lassnig-Walder at the old and Daniel Steigleder on the tenor, both of whom publish exciting and funny Woodwind split screens on their YouTube channels.
