"El Teide" - a composition for woodwind quartet<\/h2>\n

The work was created under the impression of the volcano of the same name on the Canary Island of Tenerife and bears neo-impressionistic traits as well as echoes of minimalism, cool jazz and ethnic music. Mat coined the term worldchambermusic for this type of music.<\/p>\n

The sentences are labeled:
\n1. Hora Petrea (Stone Time)
\n2. Sopa Dulce De Lava (Sweet Lava Soup)
\n3. Danca De Los Peces Voladores (Dance of the Flying Fish)
\n4. Circo De Nubes (Cloud Circus)<\/p>\n

The sound recordings were made in the Hafenklang Studios in Hamburg under the direction of Peter Hinderth\u00fcr and Marc Schettler.
