He plays with Otto Waalkes (personal highlight: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lq6oMLOtsQ8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OTTO and the Friesenjungs 2018 in Wacken<\/a>) und hat lange Jahre mit Stefan Gwildis und vielen anderen gearbeitet. Mat hat auf der B\u00fchne sehr viel mehr \u00fcber das Musik Machen gelernt als im Proberaum. So stieg er direkt nach seinem Zivildienst im Jahr 1990 in die damals neue und revolution\u00e4re Street Band T\u00e4t\u00e4r\u00e4 ein und sprengte durch die schiere Wucht der knapp drei\u00dfigk\u00f6pfigen Formation die eine oder andere Party, auf den Tischen inmitten einer begeisterten Crowd stehend, die lautstark die Solo-Linien nachbr\u00fcllte. Schnell folgten die ersten Tourneen mit Tony Christie, Vicky Leandros und Otto Waalkes. 1999 wurde Mat Saxophonist und Fl\u00f6tist im James Last Orchester und spielte hier auf diversen Tourneen 334 Konzerte, 17 davon im heiligen Gral aller Konzerthallen, der Royal Albert Hall in London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More credits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 In addition to the above, Mat works or worked with Michy Reincke, Wolfgang M\u00fcller, Niels Frevert, <span id=\"qualifikationen\">Duncan<\/span> Townsend, Omar, Flo Mega, Joja Wendt, Inga Rumpf, Rudolf Rock, Jan Delay (as a sub for Lieven Las Vegas), Helene Fischer (as a sub for Olge &quot;Rool&quot; Rovner), Sasha (as a sub for Denis G\u00e4bel), Markus Wiebusch or Kettcar (as sub for Sebastian Borkowski), Achim Reichel (sub for Andreas B\u00f6ther) and many others. From 2010 to 2012 Mat played in The Lion King, occasionally replacing Katie Zahn on various flutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Mat plays all common saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone), all common flutes (piccolo, bass flute, alto flute, bass flute), clarinet, bass clarinet, pan flute and ethnic flutes (e.g. tinwhistle, Chinese bamboo flute).
