Playful freedom without form seems arbitrary and stale. Form without playful freedom is lifeless and rigid. Making music on every level - in the single note as in the arc of an entire symphony - is an ecstatic dance on the fine line between these two abysses. When I write or play music, I try to dance.

Quantum physics suggests that everything is interconnected, that every part of the whole carries the whole, just as every cell of a living being carries the blueprint of the whole organism. If that is true, then every note contains all tones, every melody touches the whole universe. With each of my compositions, it becomes more important to me to be loving and careful with the sounds I send into the world.
